1. Online Payment:
   • Payment can be made through credit card, debit card, or net banking.
2. Offline Payment:
   • Candidates can pay the fee at any Head Post Office or other identified Post Offices in India.

Steps to Pay the Application Fee

 Online Payment:

• During the application process, select the online payment option.
• Enter the required details and complete the payment using a credit card, debit card, or net banking.
• Save and print the payment receipt for future reference.

 Offline Payment:

• Visit the nearest Head Post Office or identified Post Office.
• Provide your registration number and other necessary details at the payment counter.
• Pay the fee in cash.
• Obtain the payment receipt and keep it safe for future reference.

Post Names and Roles

1. Branch Post Master (BPM):
   • Role: Managing branch post offices, overseeing mail delivery, and performing administrative tasks.
   • Salary: Basic pay of Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 29,938 per month.
2. Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM):
   • Role: Assisting BPM in daily tasks, managing postal operations, and handling mail delivery.
   • Salary: Basic pay of Rs. 10,000 – Rs. 24,470 per month.
3. Dak Sevak:
   • Role: Handling mail delivery, managing customer services, and performing other postal duties.
   • Salary: Basic pay of Rs. 10,000 – Rs. 24,470 per month

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years as of August 5, 2024.
• Maximum Age: 40 years as of August 5, 2024.

Age Relaxation

• Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST): 5 years
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
• Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): No relaxation
• Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years
  • PWD + OBC: 13 years
  • PWD + SC/ST: 15 years

Educational Qualification

• 10th Standard Pass: Must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board.
  • Subjects Required: Mathematics and English.
• Knowledge of Local Language: Must have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard.
  • Local Language Requirements: Specific to each postal circle; candidates must be proficient in the local language of the postal circle they are applying for.

Other Qualifications

• Basic Computer Knowledge: Candidates must possess basic computer knowledge. A computer training certificate from a recognized institution is required unless the candidate has studied computer as a subject in school or college.
• Cycling Skills: Candidates must know how to ride a bicycle. This requirement is applicable for all posts. In case the candidate knows how to ride a scooter or motorcycle, that will also be considered.
• Physical and Medical Fitness: Candidates must be physically and medically fit as per the job requirements. A medical fitness certificate is required during document verification.

How to Apply for India Post GDS Recruitment 2024

Step 1: Registration

2. Click on Registration:
   • Find and click on the “Registration” link on the homepage.
3. Fill in Basic Details:
   • Provide your name, father’s name, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, gender, community, and other required details.
4. Generate Registration Number:
   • After submitting the details, a unique registration number will be generated. Note it down for future reference.

Step 2: Fee Payment

1. Log in with Registration Number:
   • Use your registration number and mobile number/email ID to log in.
2. Pay the Application Fee:
   • The fee can be paid online via credit card, debit card, or net banking.
   • Application Fee:
     • General/OBC/EWS Male: ₹100
     • Female/SC/ST/PWD: No fee

Step 3: Apply Online

1. Fill in Application Form:
   • Log in again and click on the “Apply Online” link.
   • Fill in the application form with your personal, educational, and other required details.
2. Upload Documents:
   • Upload scanned copies of the following documents:
     • Recent photograph (JPEG format, max 50kb)
     • Signature (JPEG format, max 20kb)

Process After Applying for India Post GDS Recruitment 2024

1. Application Scrutiny
